New Sight Eye Center (NSEC) is one of Liberia’s premium eye health care entities. With support from several partners, it has been able to establish and implement numerous community and facility based projects. New Sight Eye Center remains committed to achieving its mission by creating “Universal Access to Eye Health Care in Liberia” and a Vision “To deliver eye health care services in rural and underserved communities in Liberia while building the capacity of eye health professionals and health care providers”. We continue to champion eye health in rural and urban communities in Liberia. Below are few implemented projects and supporters:
Establishment of Secondary Eye Center at the Liberian Government Hospital in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County in 2019 for five years with funding from Lions Clubs International Foundation overseen by Lions Clubs of Liberia.
Establishment of Secondary Eye Center at the Jackson F. Doe Memorial Regional Referral Hospital in Tapitta City, Nimba County in 2022 for three years with funding from Lions Clubs International Foundation overseen by Lions Clubs of Liberia.
Eye Equipment for New Sight Eye Center via Rotary International Foundation Matching Grant 2011-2012 and 2016 overseen by Rotary Club of Sinkor
Community awareness, health education, distribution of food and sanitary items towards the eradication of Ebola Viral in 2014-2016 with funding and support from Segal Family Foundation as well as unrestricted funds toward general operation since 2012 to present
Rural community medical and surgical outreach program gear towards the promotion of eye health, creating access and reducing blindness and visual impairment, with funding and support from Samaritan’s Pulse International, Liberia office commenced 2019.
